Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a Facilities Management Lead under the Department of Facilities to oversee district school operations and strategic facilities initiatives. The role partners with the Regional Manager and FMO to maintain high standards of performance and compliance, while guiding a team of facility professionals.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
PMI/PMP credential preferred; strong project management experience.
Minimum seven years in engineering/operations/maintenance or asset management.
Two years of supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

Execute CPS quality and compliance requirements in daily operations.
Recruit, onboard, train, direct, and mentor Facilities & Custodial Field Leads.
Validate vendor quality; manage scope of work and contractual obligations.
Review monthly KPIs; establish corrective action plans with FMO.
Lead cost-saving initiatives and complex project delivery with stakeholders.
