J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in United States (Upper Marlboro, MD) seeks a Manager Trainee to learn management of a small driver count, including nights and weekends, ensuring safe and timely freight movement and top-tier customer service.

Training will cover DOT compliance and driver regulations for accurate planning and execution. Responsibilities include fleet optimization, payroll and budgeting basics, driver coaching, and report generation for performance and profitability at customer sites.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, OR 1 year of management/transportation experience.
• Willing to travel to account, customer, and company event locations when applicable.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.
• Willingness to regional relocation dependent on account assignment.

Responsabilidades

• Learn to build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safe carriers to ensure seamless new carrier setup and productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on special projects related to optimizing fleet operations and profitability.
• Learn to utilize personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and/or employees on internal and third party systems.
• Maximize efficiency of fleet operations and profitability and present customer-specific reporting and financial analysis.
• Gain knowledge on managing inventory, assets, and driver assignments to balance equipment.
• Perform payroll, budgeting, driver counseling, invoicing, and reporting duties.
