Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. invites you to join the 2027 Summer Futures Internship, a 10-week program designed to launch careers in construction management.

You will work with project managers and superintendents, gaining hands-on experience in document control, bid preparation, and subcontractor coordination. We seek students in construction, engineering, or business who are eager to learn, with strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in construction, engineering, or business.
• Previous internship, volunteer work, or related experience is a plus.
• Willing to commit to ~40 hours per week for the 10-week program.
• Familiarity with MS Office 365 apps (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills and client focus.

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors, coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control: submittals, RFIs, change orders.
• Help prepare bid packages and solicit subcontractor bids.
• Assist with progress reporting and client communications.
• Support site reviews, trades coordination, safety and quality efforts.
• Engage in networking, events, and software training.
