Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is hiring a Production Technician to join a fast-paced environment building and testing superconducting magnets. You will ensure equipment operation, perform assembly and testing, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other teams to meet safety and quality goals.

The role requires 6+ years in electro-mechanical assembly, uses precision tools, and includes shift hours (6:00 am - 3:00 pm) with competitive pay and benefits in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalency certificate or higher.
• Minimum of 6 years experience with various hand tools.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in Mechanical or Electrical Assembly.

Responsibilities

• Build a variety of electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop and qualify new manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Perform production builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and detailed work instructions.
• Operate production, testing and high-powered magnet equipment.
