Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in Somerville, MA, is seeking a Production Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing team building superconducting magnets.

You will perform and monitor manufacturing processes, ensure equipment maintenance, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and other departments to meet production goals. 6+ years electro-mechanical assembly experience is required; the role is onsite with a 2:30 pm–11:30 pm schedule; pay is $30–$41 per hour.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Build electromechanical parts and assemblies.
• Perform production builds according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing discrepancies.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Communicate challenges and ideas to peers and leadership.
• Operate production, testing and high-powered magnet equipment.
