Job summary

Type One Energy seeks an experienced CAD Designer to create 3D models and fabrication drawings for our stellarator fusion technologies. You will translate mechanical requirements into CAD configurations and work closely with Engineers and Scientists to resolve system interfaces.

Responsibilities include developing accurate models, ensuring GD&T compliance, and coordinating fabrication while communicating effectively with technical peers and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years using commercial CAD software with GD&T knowledge.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience and interest in fusion energy systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Translate mechanical design requirements into integrated 3D CAD models.
• Develop interfaces between stellarator systems and resolve conflicts.
• Create accurate CAD models based on specifications.
• Convert CAD models into fabrication drawings with clear callouts.
