Job summary

Type One Energy is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to develop CAD designs for its stellarator fusion technologies. You will translate mechanical requirements into 3D configurations, create precise CAD models, and generate fabrication drawings while coordinating with engineers and sponsors.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CAD experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency in Siemens NX. A hybrid work setup and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or BS degree in Engineering and 5 years of design related experience or equivalent design experience.
• Five years of experience using commercial CAD software and understanding of GD&T.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX desirable for CAD design work.

Responsibilities

• Translate mechanical design requirements into integrated 3D configurations.
• Develop interfaces between stellarator systems and resolve conflicts.
• Create accurate CAD models from specifications and prepare fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate fabrication by providing precise callouts and drawings.
