Job summary

Type One Energy Group seeks an experienced CAD Designer to create 3D CAD models for stellarator fusion devices and generate fabrication drawings. You will work closely with Engineers and Scientists to translate mechanical requirements into integrated designs and resolve interfaces across systems.

Preferred candidates have Siemens NX skills, a STEM degree with 5+ years of CAD design, and strong GD&T knowledge, plus excellent communication abilities for collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or BS in Engineering with 5 years of design experience.
• 5+ years using commercial CAD software with GD&T knowledge.
• Siemens NX proficiency preferred.
• Fusion energy systems design experience desirable.
• Excellent communication with technical peers and sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Translate mechanical requirements into integrated 3D CAD models.
• Develop interfaces between stellarator subsystems and resolve conflicts.
• Create accurate CAD models based on specifications.
• Convert CAD models into fabrication drawings with precise callouts.
