Job summary

Wieland Designs in Topeka, IN is seeking a full-time production assembler to build furniture components on a day shift. You’ll read work tickets, follow build instructions, assemble with fabric, foam, wood and hardware, and inspect your own work for quality.

The role requires standing most of the shift, repetitive hand/arm movements, and lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance in a non‑air‑conditioned environment with fabric dust.

Qualifications

• Upholstery/assembly/production experience preferred.
• Comfortable using hand tools or willing to learn quickly.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and consistent performance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble furniture components using fabric, foam, wood and hardware.
• Use hand tools and air tools (staple guns, glue systems, etc.).
• Read work tickets and follow build instructions.
• Inspect your own work to meet quality standards.
• Problem-solve when materials or fit issues arise.
• Rotate across tasks to support production flow.
