Job summary

Havertys is seeking a Retail Furniture Sales Consultant to help customers select furniture, understand needs, and create inviting homes. You will build relationships, deliver product and service expertise, and use our tablets and CRM to follow up.

This role offers an uncapped commission with guaranteed income, paid training, daily pay, 401K with a 4% match, and a generous benefits package. Hours include nights and weekends as stores are open 10am–7pm Mon-Sat and 12–6pm Sun.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer communications simultaneously.
• Positive and engaging personality.
• Creative flair and energetic attitude.
• Proficient in resolving customer objections and ensuring satisfaction.
• Familiarity with a broad range of furniture styles and products preferred but not required.
• College education preferred, High School / GED or equivalent required; or 1-3 years of retail experience preferably in a commissioned sales position.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to our customers from contact through delivery and beyond.
• Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Build relationships with customers independently and with our Interior Design Consultant.
• Reinforce customer selections and assist in completing the look of their rooms.
• Provide product, service, and finance expertise based on customer needs.
• Enter client information using Havertys CRM and provide professional follow-up.
• Maintain knowledge of a broad range of furniture styles and products.
