Job summary

Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Restoration Specialist to join our IQ OPS Team at the Fort Mill DC location. The role focuses on quality assessments, repairs, and replacement parts for showroom items, with proficiency in case goods, leather, marble, and upholstery repairs.

You will read parts lists, maintain records, and ensure high-quality workmanship while working in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable with manual labor.
  • Experience with color matching & blending.
  • Experience with case goods repairs including burn-ins & wood graining.
  • Leather repairs including scuffs, holes, and tears.
  • Upholstery repairs including structural/mechanism replacements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with power and hand tools.
  • High level of attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and repair furniture proficiently with appropriate methods for case goods, leather, marble, and upholstery to reduce costs and eliminate need for replacement.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work
  • Read and understand parts lists and identify parts needed for furniture restoration.
  • Remain organized with assigned tasks
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to view product as a customer maintaining highest quality of perception
  • Maintain organized and safe workspace for self and others
  • Coach and direct proper lifting techniques for team members to prevent damage/injury
  • Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities
  • Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and safety guidelines
  • Follow company Attendance Policies
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Location: FORT MILL Corporate Site - FORT MILL, SC 29708, At a Glance: Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Furniture Restoration Specialist to join our new IQ OPS Team operating out of our Fort Mill DC Location. As a member of this team, you will support our surrounding retail locations with quality assessments, repairs and replacement parts elevating the quality of our showroom and reducing the need to replace current items. Proficiently with appropriate methods of repair for case goods, leather, marble, and upholstery is expected for this role.

A Day In The Life As This Memory Maker:
  • Assess and repair furniture proficiently with appropriate methods for case goods, leather, marble, and upholstery to reduce costs and eliminate need for replacement.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work
  • Read and understand parts lists and identify parts needed for furniture restoration.
  • Remain organized with assigned tasks

Workplace Environment:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring
  • Adhere to dress code requirements
  • Travel between DC and retail locations as a team
  • Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
