Job summary

Broad River Retail is hiring a Furniture Handler Specialist to join our IQ OPS Team at the Pineville, NC area. This role supports inventory transfers, receiving, loading and unloading of furniture, and showroom prep.

You will assemble items for display and wrap sold product for pickup or transfer, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and capacity to maneuver furniture.
• Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Oral communication and listening skills.
• Customer service mindset with a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Adaptability for changes in the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unloads trucks at warehouse and retail locations manually or with hand trucks without damaging products.
• Identify and communicate any physical damage to IQ Ops Professional
• Use barcode scanner to systemically receive inventory.
• Assemble items for showroom display
• Disassemble and/or wrap sold product for customer pickup or transfer.
• Maintain buildings, grounds, tools and equipment as an area of pride.
• Exhibit personal excellence by cross-training opportunities to Furnish Life’s best memories for customers.
• Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and safety guidelines.
• Operating recycling machinery.
• Sorting and processing dunnage.
• Follow company attendance policy.

At A Glance:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Furniture Handler Specialist to join our new IQ OPS Team operating out of our Fort Mill DC Location. This well-organized team will partner with DC and Retail Operations and be customer facing. This team will support our surrounding retail locations with inventory transfers, receiving of inventory, loading and unloading of furniture, furniture prep and assembly in addition to floor moves and repackaging of sold product.

A Day In The Life As This Memory Maker:

• Loads & unloads trucks at warehouse and retail locations manually or with hand trucks without damaging products.
• Identify and communicate any physical damage to IQ Ops Professional

• Assemble items for showroom display

Workplace Environment:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring
• Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds
• Working in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
