Job summary

Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Restoration Specialist at the Salem Distribution Center to assess and repair case goods, leather, marble, and upholstery in a fast-paced warehouse setting. You will read parts lists, maintain quality perceptions, and ensure 85% repair quality while keeping a safe, organized workspace.

Responsibilities include lifting with proper technique, cross-training opportunities, and adherence to attendance policies.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable with manual labor.
• Experience with color matching and blending.
• Experience with case goods repairs including burn-ins and wood graining.
• Leather repairs including scuffs, holes, and tears.
• Upholstery repairs including structural/mechanism replacements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with power and hand tools.
• High level of attention to detail and professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.

AT A GLANCE:

The Furniture Restorationist, Operations reports directly to the Manager, Operations, and is part of the Operations Team. Theposition is responsible for assessing damages and repairing them proficiently and with appropriate methods of repair for case goods, leather, marble, and upholstery according to departmental standards.

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring.
• Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds.
• Works in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
