Job summary

Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc in Winston-Salem, NC seeks energetic individuals for Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant positions. Responsibilities include delivery and setup in customers’ homes, safe vehicle operation, and documentation of transactions.

Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist within the company. Shifts start early, typically 7:30 am, with 4–5 days per week in some routes.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Current Driver’s License required with clean driving record.
• Able to push, pull and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds.
• DOT certification obtainable (company-paid).
• Pass background checks and drug screen including THC testing.
• No delivery experience required but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
• Deliver and set up furniture in customers’ homes.
• Meet delivery time windows and maintain high performance.
• Accurately communicate and document delivery using mobile device or paperwork.
• Unload or load products at customers’ homes, stores, or warehouse.
• Assist in the warehouse or showroom when needed.
