Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc in Asheville, NC is seeking a Display Delivery Assistant to help set up showroom merchandise and assist with home deliveries. You will ride with delivery drivers and support furniture placements to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or delivery roles preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 150 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work well in a team and assist on the delivery truck.
• Basic problem-solving for minor repairs and part orders.
• Knowledge of safety protocols.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screen/background.
• Flexible to work varied schedules, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keep merchandise on the floor in functional condition, including by ordering parts and repairing when necessary.
• Support the moving and arranging of merchandise on the showroom floor.
• Provide support on deliveries to customers' homes.
• Unload furniture from trucks and place it within the customer’s home.
• Help Display Coordinator with floor moves and processing of new accessories.
• Assist Display Coordinator by aiming lighting on furniture and/or accessories.
• Be responsible for placement of POP material including hanging banners and placing signs.
• Assist customers in carrying merchandise to their vehicles.
• Help keep the showroom clean by providing light housekeeping support as needed.
• Maintain stockroom in an orderly fashion, including sweeping and mopping.
• Keep exits lit and free of obstruction.
• Assist in maintenance of the grounds.
