INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA, LLC is seeking a Production Engineer to provide daily technical support for the CBW furnace area at Chocolate Bayou Works in Alvin, TX. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient operation with emphasis on short-term operational excellence and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The candidate will partner with Operations and Maintenance to sustain unit performance, lead investigations, manage MOC/PSSR activities, and mentor others.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in process engineering, production/operations support, or plant engineering in chemical manufacturing, refining, utilities, or power generation environment.

Aufgaben

• Provide day-to-day technical support for safe, stable, and efficient furnace performance.
• Monitor daily process conditions and troubleshoot operating and equipment issues.
• Ensure continuous compliance with PSM requirements, including operating envelope monitoring and prompt resolution of deviations.
• Maintain environmental compliance through routine monitoring, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Operations and Maintenance to support routine operations, maintenance, startups, shutdowns, and outages.
• Lead or support incident investigations, identify root causes, and drive closure of corrective actions.
• Initiate and manage MOC and PSSR activities for safe implementation of operational improvements and maintenance activities.
• Support short-term optimization and reliability improvements to reduce variability and sustain on-plan operations.
• Provide technical leadership, training, and operational support for furnace operations.
• Mentor and develop engineers and Operations personnel to build technical and operational competency.
• Develop operating procedures and operating plans for the furnace area.
• Minimize production constraints through furnace optimization and maintenance planning.
