Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks an entry‑level Furnace Deck Operator I at our Pueblo, CO facility. You will learn furnace preparation, load building, furnace reading and process flow, with ongoing training to advance to Operator II.

The role operates on a 4‑on/4‑off rotating 12‑hour schedule (7:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00). The position includes built‑in overtime and a +$2.75/hr shift differential, plus strong onboarding and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment including overhead cranes, pneumatic devices, vacuum equipment, fork trucks, hand trucks, optical pyrometers and hand tools.
• Ability to problem solve and apply practical solutions.
• Basic mathematics and PC skills.
• Able to work a 4‑day/12‑hour shift, days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Provide process integrity and maintain process quality for all furnace process operations.
• Follow engineering instructions for carbonization, densification and heat-treating processes.
• Adhere to environmental, health and safety standards and eliminate safety hazards.
• Demonstrate understanding and use of Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, TPM, etc.).
• Monitor area metrics and respond to downward trends or sub‑par performance.
