Collins Aerospace in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Furnace Deck Operator I to join our onsite team. The entry-level role focuses on furnace preparation, load building, furnace reading, rounds, and process flow with ongoing training aimed at advancement to Operator II.

We offer rotating 4-on/4-off shifts, built-in overtime, shift differential, vacation, and a comprehensive benefits package. This role is onsite and requires US person status.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Experience using hand tools

Responsibilities

• Provide process integrity and maintain process quality for all furnace process operations.
• Perform all engineering instruction for all department processes including carbonization, densification and heat-treating processes.
• Follow established EH&S standards and procedures while performing daily duties and look for ways to eliminate safety hazards.
• Demonstrate understanding and implementation of BBS (Behavior Based Safety).
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools such as KAS, 5S, TPM and other continuous process improvement tools.
• Monitor metrics in the work area and take action when metrics indicate downward trends or fall below acceptable limits.
