Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Furnace Deck Operator I. This entry-level role focuses on furnace preparation, load building, furnace reading, rounds, and process flow, with ongoing training toward Operator II.

The position supports 4-on/4-off schedules, rotating day/night shifts, 12-hour shifts, and onsite work with overtime opportunities. Responsibilities include ensuring process integrity, following engineering instructions, and maintaining safety and lean practices.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED (US) or vocational/technical education.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide process integrity and maintain quality for all furnace operations.
• Perform engineering instructions for carbonization, densification and heat-treating processes.
• Adhere to environmental, health and safety standards and eliminate hazards.
• Demonstrate understanding of BBS and continuous improvement tools.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, TPM and related methods.
• Monitor area metrics and take action when trends decline.
