Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Clayville, NY is seeking an onsite associate to perform furnace setup and maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment. You will load, monitor, and assist with atomization processes, following precise instructions and safety protocols.

The role requires basic HS education, good attendance, and mechanical aptitude. Expect to work a 4x10 schedule (6:00am–4:00pm) with comprehensive benefits and safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Good attendance record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work at heights – up to 60 ft.
• Able to wear a respirator.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Capable of climbing stairs, standing for long periods, bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, monitoring and securing tasks to set up the rotary atomization furnace.
• Load charge into crucibles ensuring correct type and amount.
• Follow instructions to perform repetitive tasks before/after pours and during atomization.
• Assist in preparing raw material charges, operate furnace controls, perform minor repairs, and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist in removing/replacing coils and cleaning furnace interior.
• Transport and prepare materials; connect/disconnect gas, electric, water lines as directed.
• Support continuous improvement and CORE/EH&S initiatives, wearing PPE as required.
• Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Work Monday-Thursday 4x10 shifts, 6:00am–4:00pm.
