Job summary

Service Corporation International in Seattle, WA is seeking a part-time Dispatch Coordinator to support funeral home operations by scheduling resources and ensuring coverage.

You will dispatch vehicles and staff for removals, visitations, transfers, and memorial services while maintaining paperwork and a strong focus on customer service. The role requires a high school diploma, at least 6 months in scheduling or logistics, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current valid driver’s license may be required.
• Minimum of six (6) months scheduling or logistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules resources and automotive equipment relating to daily operations in support of a funeral home and/or care center.
• Dispatches resources to meet the needs of client families.
• Receives first call information and initiates the resources required for dispatch.
• Processes removal paperwork.
• Assists with recording keeping of embalming documentation as required.
• Dispatches vehicles and associates for removals, visitations, transfers, and memorial services.
• Schedules activities for internal staff and market locations.
• Maintains in-house scheduling of location resources.
• Schedules sufficient resources to meet market commitments.
• Demonstrates commitment to internal and external customer service.
