Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for Adjunct Faculty positions, which may be temporary and part-time. Successful candidates will teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus or one of the six county centers. Responsibilities include instructing diverse student groups, using technology effectively, and delivering quality course content.
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or an associate degree in Funeral Service with proper licensure as a funeral director. This role requires engagement in college functions and adherence to established teaching standards.
Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology, and applying a variety of effective teaching methods.
Additional duties include planning, managing, and delivering course instruction; following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program; participating in college functions as needed; and applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.
Adjunct faculty are expected to serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing their duties with the highest level of quality and service.
A bachelor's degree is required, or an associate degree with demonstrated competencies in Funeral Service or Mortuary Science. Candidates must also hold licensure as a funeral director and/or embalmer.
These are temporary, part-time positions.
