Job summary

Service Corporation International seeks an experienced operations and accounting supervisor in Minnesota. You will oversee AR/AP, cash handling, payroll compliance, and general office administration within a funeral home and cemetery setting.

The role requires strong financial controls, SOX awareness, and collaboration with location management to ensure timely, accurate reporting and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or diploma-training program completed.
• Two years of bookkeeping, general office, clerical accounting, and accounts payable experience.
• Strong computer skills; MS Office; typing; internet and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including AR, AP, and cash handling.
• Coordinate office operations, inventory, and vendor orders.
• Coordinate processing of funeral-related orders and cemetery maintenance.
• Support location management with contracts and work orders; ensure timely completion.
• Schedule incoming orders and ambulate service drivers.
• Complete funeral/cemetery reports and filing; maintain records.
• Assist Sales with JD Powers understanding when needed.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, DU, IVT audits, and DSOs.
• Administer payroll processes and HR documentation.
• Pull monthly reports and create KPI stack rankings.
• Maintain vehicle records and GPL updates.
• Manage alarm systems and obituaries for the location.
• Provide a supportive, collaborative workplace environment.
