Job summary

Bloomberg in New York is seeking a Funds Product Manager to lead the strategy for public funds across mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment vehicles. You will work with Engineering, Data, Sales, and Operations to build scalable data models and APIs, closing data gaps and improving discoverability.

As a senior contributor, you will define a phased roadmap with MVPs, align with client workflows such as research, screening, due diligence, and portfolio construction, and track success metrics

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management or related finance data roles.
• Strong knowledge of asset owner and fund investor workflows.
• Understanding of mutual fund and ETF workflows.
• Experience with complex datasets across funds, shares, managers, securities.
• Familiarity with fund structures, classifications, fees, distributions.
• Experience building data products or APIs used by investment professionals.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear requirements and roadmaps.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy for Bloomberg’s public funds.
• Identify and prioritize data gaps across funds, share classes, managers, holdings, and fees.
• Advance taxonomies, identifiers, classifications, and search/discoverability.
• Partner with Engineering and Data on scalable data models and APIs.
• Build a multi‑phase roadmap with MVPs balancing impact and complexity.
• Ensure Funds is usable across Bloomberg workflows: research, screening, due diligence, portfolio construction.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, and Operations to serve existing clients and attract new users.
• Define and monitor success metrics for data coverage, freshness, accuracy, adoption, and business impact.
