Job summary

Cornerstones, Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking a Development Associate to provide essential administrative and operational support for fundraising and development. You will process gifts in Raiser's Edge NXT, maintain donor records, prepare acknowledgments, and contribute to campaign and event support.

The role also includes handling in-kind donations and coordinating Cornerstones’ seasonal drives, ensuring timely, accurate development operations and strong collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years nonprofit administration or fundraising operations preferred.
• Experience with a development or CRM database desired; Raiser's Edge experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process and record gifts in Raiser's Edge NXT and keep donor records up to date.
• Prepare acknowledgments, tax receipts, and donor communications.
• Support gift batching, reconciliation with Finance, and recurring gift updates.
• Prepare donor reports, mailing lists, and data exports for campaigns.
• Coordinate in-kind donations, seasonal drives, and event support.
