Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Graphic Designer to serve as a visual communicator within the Office of Development. The role focuses on creating and editing print assets that meet brand guidelines, collaborating with writers, editors, project managers, and gift officers.

You will design proposals, impact reports, newsletters, brochures, and event materials while ensuring accessibility guidelines and timely delivery in a hybrid on-site role in Ann Arbor, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or related field.
• At least three years of design experience, including print design.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
• Strong communication skills and excellent organization and self-management.
• Reliable internet access; writing or communications experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit print assets including proposals, impact reports, newsletters, brochures, event invitations, banners, and other fundraising materials.
• Contribute to the design of Medicine at Michigan, the Office of Development's print magazine.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, balancing different stakeholders and deadlines.
• Align all print design assets with Michigan Medicine brand standards and strategic communications goals.
• Work closely with the communications team's project manager to keep projects on schedule and stakeholders informed.
• Acquire, organize, and manage photos and other design assets.
• Ensure all assets meet Michigan Medicine and ADA accessibility guidelines.
• Assist the broader communications team as needed.
