Job summary

Renown Health Foundation in Reno, Nevada seeks a Development Specialist Events to manage end-to-end fundraising and non-fundraising events, secure corporate sponsorships, and oversee registration, ticketing, volunteers, and financial reporting. The role partners with Marketing on invitations, campaigns, and press releases.

This position also represents Renown Health Foundation in the community. Without an active Foundation, Renown Health would miss out on a significant source of funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with emphasis in business administration, or equivalent experience.
• One to two years' experience in fund development, knowledge of donor database/software preferred

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue to reach targets.
• Prepare and implement detailed event plans that include goal setting with strategies and tactics to increase participation and fundraising, as well as stewardship.
• Serve as the main contact for all fundraising and non-fundraising events.
• Research and develop new ideas as it relates to events to achieve Foundation fundraising goals.
• Provide direction and collaborate with Foundation team to track results, ensure accurate reporting and create meaningful, timely and customized event recognition and program information.
• Lead the identification, recruitment, and support of high-level volunteers who will participate in fundraising and non-fundraising events.
• Represent the Foundation in the community by participating in appropriate civic organizations, and professional growth activities.
