Job summary

Pivotal is seeking a Development Associate to support fundraising, donor engagement, and marketing efforts in a hybrid San Jose setting. You will manage donor data, process gifts, and assist with communications, campaigns, and events.

The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and proactive collaboration with the Development team to grow donor pipelines and optimize campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0–2 years of professional nonprofit development/administrative experience.
• Experience with donor CRM systems and data integration tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office; graphic design tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate donor records and gift processing in the CRM.
• Generate and send thank-you letters with CEO hand signatures.
• Support marketing campaigns, email, and social media activities.
• Coordinate donor communications and event promotions.
