The American Heart Association is hiring a Development Director in Madison, WI. This full-time, hybrid position focuses on generating revenue through corporate sponsorships and individual donations while managing a robust donor pipeline.

You will recruit executive volunteers, drive Heart Walk participation, and build community partnerships to support the mission. The role requires travel and strong MS Office/CRM skills, with a competitive incentive structure up to 25% of base pay.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel locally up to 70% and some overnight trips; reliable transportation
• Ability to lift/move large objects as needed; teamwork may be required for heavy items
• Must have basic knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsabilités

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations; achieve revenue goals by building relationships with sponsors and donors.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors aligned with campaign goals.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership, committees, and day-of-event volunteers.
• Recruit corporate teams for Heart Walk and motivate fundraising participation.
• Lead Cor Vitae giving society engagement events in partnership with fundraising staff.
• Plan and implement events with internal and external partners.
• Support campaign communications plans with the Communications Director.
• Maintain accurate donor and volunteer data in the CRM and MS platforms.
