Job summary
Unite America seeks a Data Analyst, reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Systems & Operations, to serve as the embedded business partner for a fundraising team on all things data, reporting, and lightweight infrastructure.
This hands-on role focuses on recurring reports, dashboards, data pulls, data-quality checks, and operational analysis to help leadership understand pipeline health, campaign performance, and revenue forecasting. Denver-based preferred; remote considered.
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in fundraising operations or similar analytical role.
- Strong reporting and dashboarding skills for leadership and frontline users.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce reporting, exports, and data model concepts.
- Excellent spreadsheet skills with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to clean and validate messy data and document assumptions.
- Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear reporting requirements and workflows.
- Attention to detail, judgment, confidentiality, and follow-through.
- Motivation to improve political processes in line with our mission.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve reports and dashboards for fundraising pipeline and revenue forecasting.
- Pull, clean, and analyze data from Salesforce and adjacent systems.
- Serve as the fundraising team’s first-line data partner for Salesforce reporting questions, list pulls, imports/exports, segmentation, ad hoc analysis, and recurring report production.
- Translate fundraising questions into clear metrics, reporting requirements, dashboard logic, documented definitions, and usable operating tools.
- Build lightweight infrastructure for team needs, such as spreadsheets, Airtable workflows, and data review tools.
- Ensure new tools are designed with Salesforce as the source of truth for donor and revenue data.
- Identify data-quality issues and implement practical fixes.
- Maintain documentation for recurring reports and data standards.
- Partner with Strategy & Operations on data architecture, QA, and cross-team reporting alignment.
- Support finance reconciliation and pledge/gift tracking, and coach fundraisers on system use.
