Job summary

Kin On Health Care Center is seeking a Development & Communications Specialist to join the Fund Development Department. You will help plan and implement fundraising goals, coordinate events, and drive communication efforts to support Kin On’s mission for the Asian senior community in the Seattle area.

The role focuses on growing donor engagement, managing campaigns, and maintaining donor stewardship across multiple platforms; a passion for Kin On’s values and community impact is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• 2–3 years of fundraising, major event planning, relationship building, and/or project management.
• Certification or related training in fund development; familiar with fundraising concepts and industry standards.
• Proven proficiency in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience with Salesforce or other donor database software a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Annual Giving: grow donor base and contributions under $1000; coordinate campaigns; manage giving platforms.
• Event Coordination: lead or collaborate on fundraisers and donor engagement events.
• Communications: write impact stories; grow Kin On’s brand awareness across channels.
• Data & Donor Acknowledgement: maintain donor database; timely receipts and thank-you letters; run donor reports as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
