Job summary

The Assistant Director of the Deerfield Fund at Trustees-of-Deerfield-Academy supports annual fundraising campaigns, creates written content for all communications, and directs reunion fundraising for the 30th, 35th and 40th classes.

Reporting to the Director, you will collaborate with leadership, alumni relations, and volunteers to develop initiatives, manage volunteers, monitor progress, and ensure data accuracy while traveling as needed and contributing to a supportive campus community.

Qualifications

• Craft original written communications for varied audiences.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate volunteers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 15 days per year.
• Proficiency with MS Office and donor databases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Deerfield Fund leadership to create written content for appeals and communications.
• Strategize and implement annual fundraising initiatives, including Day of Giving and phonathons.
• Direct Reunion fundraising for the 30th, 35th and 40th classes with volunteers and donors.
• Collaborate with Alumni Relations on reunion programming.
• Cultivate and solicit prospects through meetings and events.
• Track prospect activity and maintain donor records accurately.
• Participate in campus events and fundraising activities as required.
