Job description

Are you someone who sees storytelling not just as an art, but as a force for social change? Do you believe that words have the power to move hearts, shift perspectives, and even open wallets? We’re looking for a Grants & Storytelling Coordinator—someone who blends creativity with strategy, and who is as passionate about writing compelling narratives as they are about building meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for researching and applying for grants with precision and imagination, ensuring each application reflects both the needs and the soul of our mission. Your gift for storytelling will breathe life into the organization’s purpose through profiles, social media content, donor thank-you notes, updates, and annual reports. Whether it’s a one-line social caption or a detailed donor profile, your words will help communicate not just what we do, but why we do it.

But this position isn’t just about writing—it’s about connection. You’ll manage and grow a portfolio of donors, both financial and in-kind, crafting personalized outreach that turns one-time givers into lifelong supporters. You’ll also play a key role in identifying potential partnerships with businesses and organizations, helping us grow our community and deepen our impact through strategic in-kind giving.

Beyond the day-to-day tasks, you’ll help shape our broader fundraising strategy. Because we know that fundraising isn’t just about raising money—it’s about cultivating trust, building relationships, and inspiring shared purpose.

The ideal candidate has 10 or more years of experience in fundraising—or a strong record of impact and the motivation to grow quickly in the role. You thrive in collaborative, mission-driven environments, care deeply about meaningful causes, and bring a sense of structure and independence to your work. Deadlines don’t intimidate you; they energize you.

In return, we offer flexible hours, remote work, and a team culture grounded in authenticity, vulnerability, and voice. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth and mentorship, all while using your storytelling skills to make a tangible difference in the world. If you’re looking for a role where your creativity meets your purpose, this might just be the place for you.
