Job Function
This position oversees Membership operations at USA Football and works with the Sr. Director of Sport Development and the leadership team. They will help build, plan, administer and drive continued adoption and evolution of the Membership program and benefits. This role will coach and oversee activity for USA Football’s Membership division while ensuring alignment and reporting for the department and USA Football overall.
In addition, they will set sales plans and day-to-day activity targets for their team and work with marketing, IT, education, high performance and leadership to support broader Membership initiatives. This role will also act as the Product Owner for Membership related Product Teams. They must have comfort creating new member benefits and leading their build out cross-departmentally or externally when necessary. An ideal candidate is adaptable and prepared for strategic changes and opportunities in the evolving USA Football ecosystem and organization. They will also closely work with our insurance and sponsorship partners to develop and lock in additional membership benefits.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development of USA Football’s Membership model and related products and programs including the refinement of the value proposition, goal setting and meeting new members and retention goals
- Evolve existing member benefit plans and identify new member benefit opportunities to increase value to prospects
- Work with the Sport Development department on education programs that may intersect with Membership opportunities directly or indirectly as benefits
- Act as the day-to-day liaison internally for external member benefits and aligning with sponsor activation and legal where necessary. Specific areas include partner discount opportunities and insurance activation and benefits.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners where necessary to create, bring awareness to and close both membership and affiliation opportunities
- Develop and negotiate contract requirements and work with external legal teams to finalize language
- Prepare for pivots by refining strategies, plans and tactics and ensure membership is in a good position for short- and long-term success
- Participate in product and program meetings and communicate instruction, details and information to Membership team while representing team needs in those meetings
- Help team build prospecting targets and set leading and lagging measures to monitor success
- Collaborate/develop budget, including planning and adjustments
- Review sales and marketing collateral, resources and provide insight/create content where appropriate
- Working with CRM and data teams, ensure proper reporting and updating of Salesforce.com (CRM), our pipeline and of our Data Warehouse and proprietary database (CORE)
- Occasionally participate in constituent communication, calls and virtual engagements for our products, programs and events
- Occasionally present internally and externally to constituents or observe sales team and provide coaching and feedback following the call
- Manage projects and update as appropriate through our Project Management Software (Wrike)
- Travel as necessary for USA Football events and programs
- Occasionally provide messaging/video content for social media or email initiatives

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: $63,183- $100,929.
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Must meet requirements.

Job Requirements
- Previous management experience (3+ years)
- Previous experience leading successful membership program, preferably in sports or a National Governing Body (3+ years)
- Previous direct sales experience (1+ years)
- Previous presentation experience (2+ years)
- Project management experience (1+ years)
- CRM experience, ideally Salesforce (2+ years), including activity reporting
- Highly preferred: Experience with youth sports, particularly youth football
- Highly preferred: Experience with contracts and insurance
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or other relevant area
Supervisory Responsibility
This role will supervise others.
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending and manual dexterity.
