Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) on-site in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Authorization Specialist dedicated to securing timely authorizations and managing funding for ongoing client services.

You will bridge clinical services with sustainable funding, ensuring accurate records, proactive denial management, and clean, compliant documentation across the authorization lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years in medical billing within a medically specialized enterprise.
• Knowledge of Medicare, HMO, PPO, Behavioral Health carve-outs, AHCCCS and EAP services.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding.

Responsabilités

• Authorization Management: Obtain initial authorizations and reauthorizations; monitor and adjust as needed to ensure continuous care.
• Funding Advocacy: Navigate insurance landscapes and resolve claim denials.
• Quality Assurance: Identify errors in funding documentation and correct them to maintain accuracy.
• Data Integrity: Document client funding information accurately and within required timelines.
