Job summary

Alter Domus is seeking an Officer to join a small team responsible for administering a portfolio of fund clients. You will be mentored and introduced to clients, systems and policies to support day-to-day operations and client service.

You will work within a global benefits framework, with ACCA study support, flexible holidays, mentoring, and a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement across our offices and client sites.

Qualifications

• Have a passion for the role and for building strong client relationships.
• Be studying for, or be eager to commence studies towards, a relevant professional qualification.
• Interest in the funds industry – no fund administration experience required as the role will be structured around the candidate.
• Solid organisational skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• Ambitious, a good communicator with energy and commitment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration for a portfolio of funds, including private equity and debt strategies.
• Assist in core operational processes: draw downs, distributions, investments, investor reporting, and financing arrangements.
• Collaborate on client acceptance, entity setup, and client-specific processes.
• Interact with clients, boards, banks, lawyers, and accountants in person or by email/phone.
• Process client payments across bank platforms.
• Support bookkeeping and reporting for fund entities with the Fund Accounting team.
• Coordinate audits with the audit team and governance reporting.
• Assist with Know Your Customer and Client Due Diligence files.
• Deal with client transactions with the Engagement Manager's guidance.
