Job summary

Alter Domus is seeking a seasoned Fund Accounting professional in New York to lead and oversee client delivery teams and supervise fund accountants. You will mentor staff, review financial statements, and coordinate reporting for investors, auditors, and stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in investments, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field).
• Credit Accounting experience preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• In-depth understanding of investments within assigned fund(s).
• Broad market knowledge.
• Ability to manage 2 staff members with potential for growth.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform multiple projects, navigate unexpected challenges, and bring viable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee Client Delivery teams.
• Able to manage 1-2 Associate Fund Accountants or Fund Accountants with potential for growth.
• Supervise and mentor a team of Fund Accountants, train new employees and provide direction.
• Administer, report, review, and understand industry standards.
• Respond to auditor queries.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investors and stakeholders.
• Review and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Support SOC1 checklist sign-off and external audits.
