Job summary

A leading university is seeking FFWS Peer Mentors to assist first-year students during the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Academic Year. This on-campus position allows for a flexible schedule, with pay starting at $13 per hour. Peer Mentors will enhance their communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills while actively supporting their peers’ transition to campus life. Looking for a rewarding on-campus job? The Student Success Center (SSC) is currently hiring FFWS peer mentors to support our first-year students during the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Academic Year!

Fund for Wisconsin Scholars (FFWS) Peer Mentors have to be FFWS recipients

• Help peers be successful in their transition to campus
• Communication skills: develop your communication skills by meeting face‑to‑face with assigned students.
• Leadership skills: develop your understanding and ability to act as a leader on our UWM campus. Peer Mentors are given hands‑on training experience throughout the academic year, strengthening resume and workplace skills.
• Problem‑solving skills: develop problem‑solving skills as you help first‑year students navigate through their first year on campus.
• Flexible schedule: Peer Mentors typically work 6–15/week and create their own schedules for each semester.
• Hourly pay: the FFWS Peer Mentor position starts at $13
• Work on‑campus around your class schedule
• Enhance your knowledge about UW‑Milwaukee

Application opens on Monday, February 16th and will remain open until March 27th.
