Job summary

Gen II Fund Services, LLC is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join our growing team. You will lead and mentor accounting staff while overseeing the operations of a private equity fund suite, ensuring accurate financial reporting and client service.

Qualified candidates have 7+ years in private equity fund accounting, strong knowledge of ASC 946, and hands-on experience with fund structures and capital events. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance is required, with CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics and/or Finance.
• 7+ years of relevant Private Equity Fund/Investment Company Accounting & Reporting experience.
• Ability to learn on-the-job quickly, apply learning to clients and recommend solutions to issues.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes and procedures in a rapidly changing environment.
• Management and supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; superior problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to think independently, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel (pivots), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director/ Managing Director managing daily Fund Operations.
• Manage the operations and accounting of an existing fund independently.
• Interface and manage a client/business with limited guidance.
• Familiar with LPA and other Governing documents; extract key economics and summarize findings.
• Supervise, manage, and direct a small accounting staff, if required.
• Oversee and provide guidance on initial client funds deliverables and perform thorough reviews before director sign-off.
• Perform analyses of Financial Reports/Capital Events and Private Equity transactions.
