Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee daily operations for investment funds, develop and refine accounting policies, and maintain strong internal controls. You will generate timely, accurate financial statements and liaise with the external auditors to ensure a smooth year-end process.

You will mentor the accounting team, drive GAAP reporting excellence, and communicate effectively with investors while reporting to the Controller in Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• Proficient in GAAP financial reporting and audits for investment funds.
• Experience supervising professional staff and mentoring accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of accounting staff for investment funds.
• Establish and review accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain and develop internal controls and procedures.
• Produce timely and accurate financial reports.
• Coordinate with outside accounting firm for year-end audit.
• Review audit reports prior to issuance.
• Respond to investor requests for reports and information.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff.
• Report to a Controller.
