Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Fund Accounting Leader for the U.S. Client Service Fund Accounting team in Massachusetts. You will oversee daily workflows, mentor staff, and ensure accurate P&L, NAV, pricing, and allocations while maintaining top-tier client satisfaction.

You will review financial statements, supervise audits, and guide responses to complex issues, partnering with product and engineering teams on enhancements and new onboarding initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of fund accounting experience with a hedge fund administrator
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hedge fund accounting principles
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, audit support, and investor allocations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with financial instruments including equities, fixed income, repurchase agreements, futures, foreign exchange, mortgages, or options
• Solid understanding of corporate actions and their accounting impact
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to build trusted client relationships
• Geneva fund accounting platform experience is an additional differentiator
• Experience leading client onboarding, fund launches, reorganizations, or platform conversions is an additional differentiator
• Demonstrated success driving process improvements, operational efficiencies, or system implementations within a fund accounting environment is an additional differentiator

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day work plan for the U.S. Client Service Fund Accounting team, managing workflow, priorities, and deliverables
• Provide coaching, mentorship, training, and performance leadership to accounting professionals
• Review and approve fund accounting deliverables, including P&L reporting, NAV calculations, pricing, and economic allocations
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, partner capital statements, and other required client reporting
• Serve as the primary client contact and ensure a high level of client satisfaction
• Develop and execute plans for new client onboardings, fund launches, reorganizations, and platform conversions
• Resolve complex fund accounting and operational issues escalated by the team
• Provide technical accounting guidance and industry expertise to clients and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate and manage the external audit process with auditors and clients
• Partner with internal teams on new product development, process improvements, system enhancements, testing, and implementations
