Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced accounting leader to manage client relationships and oversee portfolio and partnership accounting. You will review fund documents, run GAAP/OCBOA calculations, and lead a supervisory team delivering high-quality client service.

The role emphasizes SBA reporting, capital calls, distributions, and cross-selling fund services with a focus on efficiency and team development. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Accounting is required; CPA or CFA preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in portfolio/investment and partnership accounting.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP for investment companies.
• Thorough understanding of fund documents terms.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience delegating to and training staff.
• Experience managing multiple client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, onboarding new clients, reviewing fund documents, setting up funds, and renewing engagements.
• Understand clients’ businesses to identify opportunities for fund services and cross-sell CSC products.
• Review accounting records, financial statements, schedules, and waterfall calculations under GAAP and OCBOA.
• Review SBA compliance reporting, including SBA Form 468.
• Review capital call and distribution calculations and letters.
• Assist internal teams with client deliverables.
• Ensure best practices and identify efficiency improvements for the client service team.
• Manage staffing and resource allocation for the client service team.
• Support career development and talent management of team members.
• Handle special projects and internal responsibilities including status reports and time tracking.
