Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee daily operations for investment funds, develop and refine accounting policies, and maintain strong internal controls. You will generate timely, accurate financial statements and liaise with the external auditors to ensure a smooth year-end process.

You will mentor the accounting team, drive GAAP reporting excellence, and communicate effectively with investors while reporting to the Controller in Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• Proficient in GAAP financial reporting and audits for investment funds.
• Experience supervising professional staff and mentoring accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Oversee and monitor the day-to-day operations of accounting staff for the company's investment funds
• Establish and continuously review accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain and develop effective internal controls and procedures
• Produce timely and accurate financial reports and information
• Work with the outside accounting firm on the year-end audit
• Perform a detailed review of audit reports before final issuance
• Respond to investor requests for reports and information
• Mentor and develop the company's accounting staff
• Report to a Controller

Requirements

• Proficient in using accounting technology and artificial intelligence
