Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager – Alternative Investments in Oaks, PA. This hybrid role may offer remote work and focuses on leading offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration for alternative investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years in the fund services industry.
• Alternative investment experience required, including hedge funds and/or private equity.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration.
• Experience with month-end valuations, reconciliations, financial reporting and GAAP audit processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delegation of funds to the team and coordinate onboarding and setup of new funds.
• Act as liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure timely accounting packages and deliverables.
• Oversee month-end valuation reporting, reconciliations and review/approval of valuations prior to distribution.
• Coordinate and support year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, AML policies and internal procedures.
• Work with investment managers, transfer agents, sales/service teams, technology and vendors to resolve issues.
• Respond to day-to-day client inquiries regarding fund transactions, administration, reporting and financial statements.
• Authorize wire payments from fund escrow accounts and ensure controls.
• Conduct performance appraisals, provide coaching and career development to team members.
• Assess staffing, participate in interviews and support hiring initiatives.
• Support new business development through prospect calls, client visits and presentations.
• Facilitate onboarding and conversion of new clients by gathering requirements and communicating deliverables.

Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 base + 5,000 bonus

Our client, a leading global investment processing and investment management services company, is looking to hire a Fund Accounting Manager – Alternative Investments in Oaks, PA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact and subject matter expert for offshore and domestic alternative fund accounting and administration.
• Manage the delegation of funds to the team and coordinate the onboarding and setup of new funds.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fund services industry.
• Alternative investment experience required, including hedge funds and/or private equity.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration.
• Experience with month-end valuations, reconciliations, financial reporting and GAAP audit processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple client deliverables and deadlines.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing client needs.
• Experience with Anti-Money Laundering policies, due diligence and regulatory compliance is preferred.
