Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fund services industry.
• Alternative investment experience required (hedge funds or private equity).
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration.
• Experience with month-end valuations, reconciliations, financial reporting and GAAP audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple client deliverables and deadlines.
• Experience with AML policies and regulatory compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact and SME for offshore and domestic alt fund accounting.
• Manage delegation of funds and onboarding of new funds.
• Liaise between clients and internal teams for timely accounting packages.
• Oversee month-end valuation reporting and reconciliations.
• Coordinate year-end audits under GAAP.
• Ensure AML compliance and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with investment managers, transfer agents, and service teams to resolve issues.
• Respond to client inquiries on fund transactions, reporting and statements.
• Authorize wire payments from fund escrow accounts with controls.
• Conduct performance appraisals and coach team members.
• Assist in staffing, interviews and team development.
• Support new business development via prospect calls and client visits.
• Facilitate onboarding and conversion of new clients and communicate deliverables.
