The successful candidate will oversee fund accounting for hedge funds and private equity funds, ensure timely financial reporting, and coordinate with internal teams and investment managers.

Job Description

Our client, a leading financial services and investment operations company, is looking to hire a Supervisor, Alternative Investment Funds in Oaks, PA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting activities for alternative investment funds, including hedge funds and private equity funds.
• Maintain accurate and timely accounting records for fund holdings using various external pricing resources.
• Perform NAV and other account reconciliations and prepare accurate accounting reports and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external investment managers regarding fund transactions, reconciliations, deliverables, and day-to-day inquiries.
• Support year-end audit engagements and ensure fund records comply with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review the work of fund accounting analysts to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion of deliverables.
• Train and supervise accounting analysts on systems, processes, procedures, and job responsibilities.
• Assist with monthly one-on-ones, performance reviews, career development, and team training.
• Participate in the interviewing and onboarding of new team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and overall team efficiency.
• Provide a high level of client service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the fund services industry, with alternative investment experience preferred.
• Experience with fund accounting, reconciliations, NAV calculations, and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple client deliverables and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Previous experience training, reviewing, or supervising junior team members is preferred.
• Strong client service and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
