We've partnered with a fast-growing $6bn+ AUM Asset Management firm in New York, looking for an experienced fund accountant to join their team.

They are currently in office 4 days per week.

Compensation is made up of base salary + discretionary annual bonus. The range for base salary is $120-150k.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Finance Team with accounting and financial reporting tasks, recording cash transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable across a multi-entity structure using Sage Intacct.
• Oversee funds’ NAV finalization process, including P&L reconciliation and allocation to investors, for open-ended and/or closed-ended private fund structures; investigate and resolve discrepancies with third-party fund administrator and internal teams
• Review and reconcile the calculation and payment of management and carried interest and/or incentive fees per the funds’ governing documents
• Prepare quarterly unaudited financial statements and annual audited financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and coordinate with external auditors for the year-end audit process
• Prepare and review monthly fund forecasts, NAV performance estimates, and other ad-hoc requests/projects
• Prepare inputs for annual regulatory reporting, investor letters, custom client reporting, and firm-level reporting

Experience & Skills

• Background working within private fund accounting, utilizing software such as Excel and Sage Intacct
