Job Overview – Senior Fund Accountant (Credit):Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000/year + bonusLocation: New York, NYSchedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)Step into a key role with our client as a Senior Fund Accountant (Credit) in New York, NY (Hybrid), leading fund accounting, performance reporting, and NAV reconciliation for credit-focused investment vehicles. You will partner with third-party administrators on NAV and waterfall calculations, manage quarterly and year-end reporting, and deliver financial insights to senior management and investors. This is an excellent opportunity for fund accountants with expertise in credit or private equity funds and advanced financial reporting.Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant:
  • NAV & Waterfall Reconciliation: Prepare schedules and supporting materials to reconcile NAV and waterfall calculations with administrators.
  • Performance & Financial Reporting: Maintain fund performance metrics (ROR, IRR, MOIC, DPI) and assist with quarterly financial statements and audit reports.
  • Books & Reconciliation: Collaborate with administrators to ensure accuracy of fund books and records across multiple investment vehicles.
  • Quarterly & Regulatory Reporting: Develop workpapers and reporting packages for transparency, regulatory compliance, and risk reporting.
  • Capital Activity Support: Prepare documentation for capital calls, distributions, and investor notices.
  • Technology &Improvement: Contribute to system enhancements, automation projects, and ad hoc reporting for senior management and investors.
Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Licensure: CPA required.
  • Experience:4-6 years of public and private accounting experience in credit funds, private equity, or fund administration, with required experience in waterfall calculations.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with familiarity in fund accounting platforms and reporting tools preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes:Strong technical accounting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex reporting in a dynamic environment.
