Job summary

Mercato Partners is seeking a skilled Fund Accountant to support fund accounting processes and financial operations. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain fund-compliant structures, and assist with investor communications, capital calls, and distributions.

You will prepare statements, analyze fund performance, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support portfolio monitoring in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 1 year of fund accounting experience, preferably within venture capital, private equity, or a fund administrator.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, partnership accounting, and investment fund financial reporting.
• Experience with capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and fund structures.
• Proficiency in Excel and fund accounting software (Allvue).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
