The firm owns one of the largest private residential mortgage companies in the U.S., having purchased more than $30B of residential loans in the last nine years. The senior leadership team is comprised of alumni from top private equity and investment banking firms, as well as industry leaders in specialty finance and mortgage lending. The culture is entrepreneurial, fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, collaborative, and close‑knit. Headquarters are in a desirable, Metro-accessible downtown Washington, D.C. location.

Position

Fund Accounting Manager will oversee a wide range of accounting and financial responsibilities as well as special projects across private equity funds, open‑ended hedge funds, and separately managed accounts. In addition to core fund accounting, this role will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency through process improvements and technology‑enabled solutions.

This individual will lead initiatives to streamline recurring workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and implement automation for scalability. The Fund Accounting Manager will also collaborate closely with corporate accounting, investors, external auditors, and tax service providers in a highly team‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily, monthly, and quarterly fund accounting activities across multiple investment structures.
  • Drive improvements in accounting processes, reporting, and automation.
  • Partner with senior leadership to implement scalable operational solutions.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax providers, and internal teams on deliverables.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
